Liverpool negotiating £90m naming rights deal

Liverpool are close to securing a £90million naming rights deal for the Main Stand at Anfield.

The club’s chief commercial officer Billy Hogan has held talks with a trio of Chinese companies who are keen to be associated with the Reds.

Hogan is in Asia negotiating with these companies with the view of securing a 10-year package worth around £9m-a-season.

Existing partner Indonesia-based Garuda Airlines are also in negotiations with Liverpool about extending their three-year relationship with the club.

Within the last fortnight KopTalk editor Duncan Oldham suggested that details of a possible naming rights deal would hit the press imminently following the negativity that came as a result of the ‘turning fans into customers’ gaffe and the 77th-minute ticket protest.

Today’s reports have clearly been leaked to the ‘usual suspects’ in the mainstream media with the intention of getting it out there for supporters to see that some positive progress is being made in relation to recouping the investment into the Main Stand.
