City are just incredible and are a step above everybody else at the moment. I do not think we are going to get into a battle for top 4. We are a step above Utd, Spurs and Arsenal. Unless things change it will be a 1,2,3 of City and then Us or Chelsea.

As jittery as or play has been we are joint 2nd having gone through some tough fixes. And we are yet to really get going. We are damn hard to beat.

Are you expecting a league title against this city side because it is Klopp's 3rd season. I don't think many are expecting that. Even utd with all their money are going to struggle to take a title off city in the next few years.

It's crap, but it is what it is. We have a title winning team that is going up against a club with unlimited funds that are trying to topple Barca & Madrid. A club that is breaking records.

Every single person in hear would have taken that at the start of the season. Seems like we just can’t shake the negativity that’s built up in here over the years.

The frustration of the reality sets in and people either pretend or get real about prospects...
Draws against chelsea man city arsenal are good points really..it is the way the team is scraping wins in other games that is the matter as it looks like that luck will run out..
When we see man city chelsea banging in goals galore it is then we think lfc should be doing that too.
I do not go along with they have better players..
imo some lfc players are off form and klopp has altered formations.
Salah is unhappy imo..stemming from last season and also the club reporting him for the mobile phone incident.

Not sure what the debate is really. We're doing about as well as we can, albeit currently experiencing a dip in form. We simply haven't got the financial resources to compete with at least 3 other clubs. in order to win the league, we need all three of them to be below par.

The mistake we've made in the past is not taking advantage of others being in turmoil, transition etc.... grabbing the opportunities when they come our way, striking whilst the iron is hot. We lost in those finals and we didn't invest soon enough to take advantage of Man United, City and Chelsea having a few issues in the last few years. Leiceseter were able to take full advantage of all the top teams messing up and won the EPL with 81 points.

This season we now face Man City in their 2nd season with Guardila, a rejuvenated Chelsea and a reborn Arsenal. On the other hand, teams are no longer surprised by our strenghts and are more prepared to deal with them.

We just need to keep going. Don't expect too much and just hope that we're in a position to take advantage of any slip ups by the richer clubs.

Our luck ran out on Saturday when we conceded a late goal. We are not going to fall off the face off a cliff. The reality is we have beat spurs and drew with arsenal and Chelsea away from home. You don't get results like that with pure luck.

You are being overly dramatic to say that we will drop out to 5th or 6th. Not sure what your reasoning is for that. I'm not sure what Utd, spurs & arsenal have over this team? Chelsea maybe but debatable as we are joint on points with them having played harder games so far

I’m not sure what scraping a win means? I can’t think of a game we shouldn’t have won? We’ve also put plenty past West Ham, Southampton and Cardif. Not too bad for riding our luck.

You don’t go along with “they have better players than us”? Maybe you should as City do.

We’ve changed tactics to be more solid which has worked. It’s strangled a bit of life from our attacking prowess but there are games that we’ve won because of our defence that we wouldn’t have last year. We have the 4th best goalsfor this season and2nd best goals conceded. That tells you all you need to know about what Klopp is trying to do this season.

So back to the question in the op, yes we can win the league this year.

Margins at the top are very fine. Many of our games cvould have gone either way. But the fact that we've not lost any, is that just luck or is it that we've become more solid? Probably some luck and a lot of improvement.

Of course we can win the league. But our chance are less c30% I'd say.

Maybe we've gone too cautios this season. We were 3-0 up at half time against Southampton and Klopp decided to protect the lead I believe. Maybe we should have continued to try and get more goals in the 2nd half to get our rythm back as well as to simply get those extra goals.

Is Picton - Ford Focus..?

Hoped for a win but away at Arsenal is one of the toughest fixture's for us and we deserved a win (marginally). Front 3 still aren't as fluid as they could be and we've two big signings yet to show their potential. I was hoping Shaq would start as we could've really got at their defence. I was impressed with Arsenal though.

We could win the league. 2-3 years ago we probably would have, but City are still on another level. They've spent what we did this summer every summer for years and have a world class coach. It would take something special for anyone to top them in the next few years.

CL is more likely I'd say.

no panic stations as yet..all we are doing is pointing out percieved problems..only 2 points off...city are not a great side as such..yes good but great no.

more a case of get your slht together lfc or its going to fall apart for you.
