I say he deserves time. He has skill and athleticism. He has vision and can pick a nice ball when he wants to. He just needs to let go of his fear. He's chicken [oops] right now.

The only reason he continuously plays in almost every game is because we really don't have any central midfield players beside him, Gerrard and Spearing currently. Shelvey is an attacking midfielder which nullifies the threat of Gerrard on a field, hence why we continuously play Henderson next to Spearing and Gerrard in front. Henderson has the skill, just not the bottle right now. He's just made a big money move and obviously wants to be with us so he's afraid to make a mistake and instead plays the ball sideways or backwards and doesn't really make an attempt to get into the game. The kid will come very very good, mark my words.

Well, I agreed with you earlier as well. smile Henderson has struggled this season, but not because he's a bad player (as everyone says he is). He's struggled because he's not really dealt with the expectation and pressure of being a Liverpool player, and has more often than not been played in a position and system that hasn't suited him. So he's lost confidence as a result of being over-played rather than gaining it the way Sterling has by being given only a few opportunities but being played at his strengths.

Henderson will come good, but he needs to learn to be more assertive first.

Doesn't help either when the ones who should be giving him their backing are pelting him week in week out. Our general support of young players is awful.
