2012 Blackburn vs Liverpool why not Looks like its only me and you who want this cup, we should make sure to not allow anyone on here to celebrate if we go on to win it. We'll be the only ones jumping for joy

Carling cup no doubt about it without even reading your post. We need to win this competition, we are already struggling in the league as it is so why collapse on both fronts? This cup is ours to win if Kenny plays it right. I thought were all in agreement that are priority this season is getting back into the top 4 so we qualify for the Champions League and then can set aboutt bringing proper quality plauers to the club You can only do that with CL football and I simply cannot understand anyone who would trade 3pts against Chelsea in the league for a semi final in the worthless cup To be frank it beggars belief that anyone would think otherwise

We need to cut our cloth accordingly which means concentrating on things we actualy have a chance of winning, that worthless cup as you put it along with the F.A.Cup are our main aims this season. People on here are getting far too carried away with the money the champions league generates, I would rather have a team of players who actualy want to play for the club with genuine reason than a load of multi millionaire, merceneries only here to line there own pockets by playing in the champions league to attract one of the big Clubs like Barca, United, Madrid, Chelsea or City, then they will be off.

I would rather have players who want to play for the club and are extremely talented. But just winning a cheap cup like the carling cup is not going to do that, if we qualify for Europe we can build up to sucess again.

well maybe because its been so long since a cup win and that liverpool have not ever been to wembley maybe your right forget about winning cups as its so cheap and nasty to win cups now and to have success , maybe your right give up now dont even bother even the F.A.Cup just get knocked out early as its to much of a distraction for this multi milion pound squad a couple of extra games might just make those poor lads to tired just a bit to much so let forget about it 7 years 10 years who cares liverpool dont need cup wins that much is clear .

If we don't win a trophy this season, it'll be the club's longest trophy drought in almost 40 years. If we don't win a trophy it'll be at least next season before we win anything, which will be 7 years. The last time we went that long without a trophy was between 1966-73.
Strange, it only seems like yesterday we won in Istanbul followed by the FA Cup the next year. The trophy drought between 1995-2001 seemed a lot longer.

Would'nt mind if qualifying for the Champions league would do us any good, we could play in it for the next 15 years and buy better Champions league players we still would'nt win the Champions league or the Premier league all we would do is appear in it, not as though it would benefit us in those two competitions, you only have to look at Arsenal who play in it every year, has'nt done them much good and are no nearer to winning either cup too.
