Virgil van Dijk boost for Liverpool

Liverpool have been handed a boost with the news that Virgil van Dijk should be available for selection for Monday’s visit to Swansea City.

The £75million centre-back wasn’t involved against Manchester City due to a minor hamstring injury but is now back in full training at Melwood with the rest of the squad.

Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp could also welcome back Alberto Moreno into his pool of available players. The Spaniard is back in contention having not figured since early December due to an ankle injury.

Skipper Jordan Henderson is also nearing a return following four weeks out with a hamstring strain.

Swansea are bottom of the Premier League having won only 4 of the 23 games they have played so far this campaign.
