Steven Gerrard has been named in UEFA’s team of the century.

The Liverpool legend, who is the only English player to make the starting XI, is deployed in midfield alongside Barcelona duo Andrés Iniesta and Xavi.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Thierry Henry lead the attack with Philipp Lahm, Carles Puyol, Gerard Piqué and Sergio Ramos lining up across the defence.
