Steven Gerrard says the top players in the game will want to play for Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
The Liverpool legend believes Europe’s biggest names will be jumping at the chance to be involved in such an exciting project that’s underway at Anfield under the inspirational German manager.

Gerrard said: “If I’m a top player around Europe and Jürgen picks the phone up and I get offered the chance to play for this club, which is moving forward in every single department and has a world class manager leading it, I’d be jumping at that opportunity.
“I want to play for him and I am 37 next week! For me, it’s such an exciting project. Not just because we qualified for the Champions League but the whole project.
“The next three, four, five, six years, whatever it turns out to be, are going to be very exciting and players will want to be a part of what Jürgen is doing.”
Very promising and positive words from the former Liverpool skipper who starts his new coaching role as manager of the Under 18s in July.
Some supporters would argue that Klopp has so far failed to attract any of his previous ‘big name’ targets to the club with all of them opting for challenges elsewhere. However, with the Reds having finished in the Top 4 this term, things could be different this summer.
