Sadio Mané will be out of action for the rest of the season if Liverpool Football Club opt to send him for knee surgery, which is looking increasingly likely.
Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp will make a decision within the next 48 hours as to whether or not to send him for a minor operation on his left knee and if he goes under the knife, his season will be over.

The 24-year-old looks like he will need surgery to repair damaged meniscus, a piece of cartilage that provides a cushion between the thighbone (femur) and shinbone (tibia). There are two menisci in each knee joint.
Mané has indicated that he is willing to play through the pain barrier if the swelling goes down which is why the Reds are stalling on the decision.
He will undergo a further scan once the swelling eases but Liverpool officials are starting to accept that he will not be involved again this season.
