Liverpool target Timo Werner has been urged to make a decision about his future by RB Leipzig.
The 22-year-old Germany striker only has 11 months remaining on his contract and Leipzig officials are concerned that he may be preparing to exit the club on a free transfer next summer.
Werner was offered a new contract with improved terms in January but his representatives have so far failed to respond with a decision.
The latest suggestions are that if Werner doesn’t ink the offer that they will try and move him out before the new Bundesliga season gets underway on August 18th.

CEO Oliver Mintzlaff commented (translated): “We do not want to set an ultimatum but eventually we need a decision.
“It is desirable that we have a solution before the league starts. We can and want to meet this timing.
“We are in constructive and good talks, which will lead to a result. We have submitted a contract offer to Timo and his consultant, we stand by that and we do not have to improve it.
“It is legitimate for a young international to think about his future. But it is also legitimate that the club wants to extend this quality to players. Or that we just want to sell it.”
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have also been linked with Werner who we believe remains a primary transfer target for Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp. KOPTALK sources have maintained for some time that there is a real chance of Klopp making a move for Werner but as yet, nothing. Could this be because Klopp is biding his time with regards either a cut price bid or even the chance of landing him on a free next summer?
It’s worth pointing out that there’s a feeling within Anfield that there could be a high profile exit next year which could force the boss to adapt his attacking options.
