There are fresh reports claiming that Liverpool remain interested in signing Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos.
The 21-year-old central midfielder was last linked with us back in December when it was claimed that the Reds had opened talks to try and bring him to Anfield. Nothing materialised of course but we did point out at the time that nobody credible was suggesting that a deal could be on the cards.
However, the speculation has returned to suggest that Liverpool officials met with Dani Ceballos last month to discuss a possible transfer. Media outlets in Spain also report that despite the player having a £440million release clause, Real Madrid could be willing to let him make the switch to Anfield for a fee of around £45million ahead of a planned move for Mohamed Salah.

It is reported that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez would allow Ceballos to initially join Liverpool on loan and if the Reds were then willing to do business for Mohamed Salah, that he would be willing to include the unsettled Ceballos in a deal for the Egyptian.
The rumours in Spain are being billed as Real Madrid’s first move for the Liverpool ace. However, the reports are speculative and although Liverpool may have an interest in Ceballos, Salah clearly isn’t for sale. Money does talk though and more importantly, so do agents so be prepared for more of this over the coming months.
