Several sources seem to agree that Liverpool want £127million upfront for the Brazilian who was assured by Anfield officials in the summer that they wouldn’t stand in his way of a transfer to the Nou Camp in 2018 providing a suitable deal could be brokered.
Nou Camp officials want to secure a deal in January ahead of next summer’s World Cup to prevent Liverpool seeking more money should the player impress at the tournament.
KopTalk sources claim Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp accepted in the summer that Coutinho would be on his way and that he supports the decision by those above him to cash in.
The Spanish media suggest that Barcelona will have to sell as many as three players including Arda Turan to finance a deal for Coutinho.
