Liverpool FC Transfer News: Ousmane Dembélé – LATEST

Liverpool supporters will have seen reports this week linking Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp with Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembélé.

The Liverpool manager has so far opted to not dismiss the reports linking us with the 20-year-old France international and has even sarcastically confirmed that he interested in signing him, when he was pushed for comment by journalists at the weekend.

Despite signing a 5-year contract with Borussia Dortmund in 2016, only a year later he made the switch to the Nou Camp in a deal worth up to €145million. The 5-year contract he inked with Barcelona is said to include a €400million (£350m) buyout clause.

A hamstring injury early in the season kept him out of the Barcelona side for 6 months and although he has failed to regain his place in Ernesto Valverde’s first team since recovering from injury, Barcelona are playing down suggestions that he could be made available for transfer in the summer.
