No release clause in Mohamed Salah’s contract

Liverpool Football Club remain adamant today that Mohamed Salah will not be sold to Real Madrid or anyone else in the summer.

Anfield officials are busy unofficially dismissing suggestions that the Egyptian ase could be sold by back-channelling information to various media contacts and the latest titbit claims that Salah does not have a release clause in his contract that could be triggered by any interested suitor.

KopTalk sources are also reporting that the player is continually making it known to his closest friends at Melwood that he is happy at the club and has no intentions of considering a move elsewhere at the present time.

However, there is a feeling that an individual in Salah’s camp would encourage him to take an offer if it came from Madrid while highly-influential figures back in Egypt could also apply pressure to consider such an opportunity if it presented itself as they believe it would be a great boost for their country.

At the present time, we’re not concerned by any of the speculation and we are instead focusing on the suggestion that Salah would be willing to extend his contract with the Reds. However, while an announcement on that front wouldn’t surprise us if it came out of the blue, improved terms wouldn’t be a problem for Liverpool but Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa (above) could, of course, request the inclusion of some kind of release clause(s).

The Madrid-based media continue to report that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez is willing to entertain offers from Liverpool from a pool of players that Jürgen Klopp is apparently interested in, in the hope of “sweetening relations” ahead of a future move for Salah.

Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) are not willing to listen to offers for their star man and on this occasion, we currently believe them.
