Liverpool FC Transfer News: Naby Keïta – LATEST

Liverpool target Naby Keïta will sit down with RB Leipzig this week to discuss his future.

The 22-year-old midfielder is interested in a transfer to Anfield and would like to discuss his options with his current employers.

Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp wants to see a deal concluded as soon a possible for Keïta and the offer of a basic salary of £130,000-a-week has gone down well with the player and his representatives. The stumbling block is the £70million valuation but this isn’t putting Liverpool off who are willing to offer Leipzig a very lucrative package.

Keïta is available for £48million next summer but Klopp wants him now is willing to pay a premium to land him.

With the Reds reporting back for pre-season training soon, Klopp is hoping that the club will be able to conclude a number of deals swiftly.

Meanwhile, Leipzig have just unveiled their new home kit for next season but Keïta, their star player, wasn’t featured in their short promotional video. A handful of other players were involved but Keïta was omitted.
