Nabil Fekir’s proposed transfer to Real Betis could be off after Napoli made a late move for him.

The Italian outfit are trying to hijack the 26-year-old’s move to Spain after the player’s agent Jorge Mendes has reportedly continued to offer his client to other clubs.

It is believed that Fekir wants a move to a Champions League club and it’s looking like it won’t be Liverpool. Our opinion, and it is only that, is that Liverpool have remained interested in signing him but that the current valuation in excess of £20million remains too high. It has previously been suggested that Liverpool would have proceeded with a move for Fekir had the fee been around £15million.

Arsenal have also been linked with Fekir who has been given permission to proceed with a move to Real Betis by holding club Lyon.

Fekir scored 9 times and provided 7 assists in Ligue 1 last season. He was desperate to complete his failed move to Liverpool this summer but despite holding out, it would appear that he may have to finally accept it’s not going to happen unless something changes drastically.
