Mohamed Salah has scooped Liverpool’s Player and Goal of the Month awards for September.

The 25-year-old bagged 3 goals in 5 appearances for the Reds with goals against Sevilla, Burnley and Leicester City taking his tally to 6 in 11 games.

Salah received 41 per cent of the public vote in September’s Standard Chartered Player of the Month poll with want-away Brazilian Philippe Coutinho finishing in second place with 23 per cent of the vote.

To add to that award, Salah’s header in the 3-2 victory over Leicester City won 43 per cent of the vote in the Goal of the Month poll.

The Egypt international retains both awards having also won them in August.

It hasn’t been a great season so far for Liverpool fans but Salah’s impressive performances have been a real positive.
