Luis Suarez has admitted to talking to Philippe Coutinho about making the switch from Liverpool to Barcelona.
Today’s ‘Mundo Deportivo’ run with a front page of: ‘COUTINHO WOULD CONTRIBUTE A LOT‘ and inside there’s an interview with Suarez in which he talks about his former Liverpool team-mate hopefully joining up with him in La Liga.
The former Liverpool striker basically says it’s a no brainer that his friend Coutinho would want to exchange Anfield for the Nou Camp; as would any other player that was given the opportunity to do so.

Asked if he’d spoken to Coutinho about the ongoing transfer saga, Suarez said: “Yes, because I have a relationship with him.
“Obviously he must have wanted [to leave Liverpool] because he is a player who has ambition and any player would want to come to Barcelona.
“He went through a difficult and very complicated time but as a professional he has continued to show how good a player he is and the personal quality that he has.
“Despite trying to leave Liverpool he continued helping the team and working. He is demonstrating as a professional who has the ambition to take a step further.”
Asked what Coutinho could offer Barcelona, Suarez added: “A lot. I know him as a person and as a player because I played with him but what Coutinho can contribute everyone knows.
“He is a footballer who today is at a very high level.”
