Brazilian outfit Atletico Mineiro are the latest club to be linked with Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva.
The 30-year-old midfielder has been attracting interest from a number of clubs, notably Inter Milan, but has opted to remain loyal to the Reds knowing that boss Jürgen Klopp wants to try and keep his squad together until the summer.

Despite interest from Brazil, it is believed that Lucas would prefer to remain in Europe for another couple of years at least, once he does leave Anfield.
Lucas may not be everyone’s favourite player but we can’t speak highly enough of him. Few players put the club and fans before themselves, Lucas, on the other hand, has not only shown loyalty but he’s also not moaned about not getting as much game time as he used to, either publicly or indirectly to the media.
He has 18 months remaining on his Anfield contract.
Meanwhile, it has just emerged that Lucas is a doubt for Liverpool’s FA Cup 3rd round replay against Plymouth Argyle on Wednesday due to a knee injury.
