Liverpool tipped to push through transfer

Piotr Zielinski

Liverpool have been tipped to push through the signing of Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski.

Regular followers of KopTalk and KopTalk.TV will be aware that we have claimed for several months that this transfer looks highly likely and speculation surrounding the 21-year-old suggests that could be the case with the media now claiming that a deal is now imminent.

Although no medicals are currently scheduled as yet for any incoming players, there are suggestions that Liverpool could start putting things in place for Zielinski later this week.

However, while we believe Reds boss Jürgen Klopp has Zielinski in the bag if he wants him, there doesn’t seem to be any great urgency to proceed which suggests one of two things. 1) The deal is already tied down and nobody can u-turn or 2) Liverpool are looking at a ‘better’ option to see if they can push that through instead.

Suggestion 1 looks more plausible to us. We’d be surprised if we don’t sign him but until we see such confirmation, we’ll have to sit tight and wait and see.

Meanwhile, KopTalk sources claim that Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre remains in talks with FC Köln and Bayern Munich. More on that on our members’ news page.
