Liverpool swoop for William Carvalho – REPORTS

Liverpool have reportedly made a late move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.

It is claimed that the Reds want to take the highly-rated 24-year-old to Anfield and have jetted out to Lisbon try and negotiate a deal before the transfer window closes.

Capped 29 times by Portugal, Carvalho has been heavily linked with Manchester City recently while West Brom had a £26million offer rejected earlier this month. The Baggies also had a £21m offer rejected in the summer. Arsenal are another club who are mooted whenever he’s linked with someone.

Reports originating from Portugal claim that Liverpool officials are currently trying to broker a deal for the player who is under contract until 2020.
