Liverpool step up interest in German duo

Liverpool Football Club have dispatched representatives to try and tie up deals for 2 of the Bundesliga’s best players.

With the summer transfer window almost upon us, Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp is wasting no time in trying to secure his two primary targets as quickly as possible.

We understand that Liverpool have already opened talks with one target having received permission from the player’s club while a formal approach to the other player’s club will be made after the weekend.

“Both players have indicated an interest in linking up with Klopp,” said the source.

“SportsTotal have been in frequent contact and will meet Liverpool representatives on Monday.

“There has been no formal submissions as yet.”

The source added: “Liverpool may be speaking to Köln about the availability of Jonas Hector but no attempts are currently being made [to negotiate a deal].”

A detailed report with additional quotes is imminent for KopTalk Members.
