Liverpool scouts watch Odisseas Vlachodimos

Odisseas Vlachodimos

Liverpool scouts are currently monitoring Benfica goalkeeper Odisseas Vlachodimos.

The 24-year-old, who only joined the Portuguese outfit in the summer having made the switch from Panathinaikos, has been putting in some fine performances this season which aren’t going unnoticed.

As many as 18 European clubs are believed to have assigned scouts to monitor his progress and Liverpool are amongst those casting their eyes over him. Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle have also been making trips to Portugal to watch him in action.

An academy graduate of VfB Stuttgart, Vlachodimos has represented Germany at various youth levels right up to the Under 21s.

It is reported that Vlachodimos has a contract which runs until 2023 which contains a £54million release clause.

Liverpool, of course, recently signed Alisson from Roma and are not looking for a new No.1. However, Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp is continually assessing his reserve options.
