Liverpool plotting Niklas Süle transfer bid

Niklas Süle

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp is planning a January transfer move for Hoffenheim centre-back Niklas Süle.

Speculation has rumbled on since the summer that the 21-year-old is still on Klopp’s radar and we can confirm that is the case.

Information supplied to us overnight states that Süle is one of 3 Bundesliga-based players that 3rd party representatives of the Reds are currently trying to tempt to Anfield.

Last month it was confirmed that Süle had turned down a move to Liverpool in the summer to focus on his Hoffenheim career for at least one more season. Chelsea and Dortmund were also rebuffed.

The player’s agent Karlheinz Forster has allegedly indicated that his client may be interested in a move to the Premier League in the summer window but Klopp fears that Chelsea could hijack his plans if we wait until then which leaves us having to focus on the notoriously difficult to negotiate January transfer window. Clubs don’t want to sell at the halfway point and transfer fees tend to be inflated.

Information recently posted on the KopTalk Members website (£) and discussed on KopTalk.TV (free) has touched on Klopp’s schedule around Germany’s next 2 internationals. We should point out that Süle, who received his first cap for Germany in August, isn’t however involved in the latest senior squad for those games against Czech Republic and Northern Ireland (he’s been selected for the Under 21s instead).

The player’s father recently commented that money would not influence his son’s future and that any transfer decisions would be about the right club and not just the financial package on offer.

According to our source, Roberto Firmino could play a small part in any potential recruitment as the duo have remained in touch since Firmino left Hoffenheim for Liverpool.

We are linked with numerous players every day and we touch on many of those links for you. This one isn’t idle speculation and shouldn’t be dismissed at the present time. We would advise you monitor the player until the summer at least.
