Reports originating from Turkey claim that Liverpool are interested in signing Beşiktaş centre-back Domagoj Vida as a result of his impressive World Cup performances with Croatia.
The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with Everton for the last month or so but the latest reports claim that Liverpool have stepped in to make an enquiry about his availability.

Turkish journalist Turgay Demir claims that both Merseyside clubs have made offers but that they fall short of what Beşiktaş are looking for.
Demir is quoted as saying: “Everton and Liverpool have made an offer for Vida. €15m (£13.25m) has been proposed but Besiktas will not consider a bid below €20m (£17.6m).”
Vida only joined Beşiktaş in January and as a result, he still has 4 years remaining on his new contract.
Claims that Liverpool have actually tabled a formal offer sound a tad premature to us.
Meanwhile, Beşiktaş are reportedly willing to offer Liverpool £10million for striker Daniel Sturridge. The 28-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at West Brom but only made 6 appearances and failed to score a single goal as the Baggies were relegated.
