Liverpool to increase Thomas Lemar offer

Thomas Lemar

Liverpool are willing to offer Monaco a further £10million for Thomas Lemar. An initial offer of around £65million was rejected yesterday by the French outfit who do not want to sell but the Reds aren’t giving up just yet.

Kop boss Jürgen Klopp is also willing to include want-away striker Divock Origi in a package and it would appear that this could be of interest. The Belgium international is wanted by a number of clubs including Bayer Leverkusen, Crystal Palace, Marseille, Newcastle, Spurs and Werder Bremen although they only appear interested in potential loan deals.

Lemar (21) can play out wide or in the centre and is also comfortable as a wing-back. He was signed from Caen in 2015 for £3.5million and is under contract until 2020.

We think we have a good chance of getting this over the line. We also believe that Liverpool will eventually land Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk.

KopTalk sources also claim that Liverpool and Barcelona are holding talks about Philippe Coutinho’s future despite the denials and it’s starting to sound like we may have ended our interest in Renato Sanches for the time being.
