Liverpool holding off tabling Andy Robertson transfer bid

Liverpool are holding off on making a transfer bid for Hull City’s Andy Robertson as Alberto Moreno is yet to make a firm decision about his future.

Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp would like to bring in the 23-year-old left-back but with Moreno insisting that he’s settled on Merseyside and not looking for a move, a bid for Robertson looks unlikely unless the Spaniard opts to leave.

Liverpool recently rejected a £11million offer from Napoli for Moreno and instructed the Italians to come back with an improved in the region of £15million due to a handful of other clubs having an interest in him. Nobody else has stepped up as yet though with a formal offer.

Moreno is expected to sit down with the boss for a chat about his future when he reports back for pre-season training next week.

If he is eventually moved out, it is mooted that Liverpool will offer Hull £8million for Robertson who is said to have his heart set on a move to Anfield.
