Liverpool fear Emre Can out for rest of season

Emre Can

Liverpool Football Club fear that Emre Can could be ruled out of action for the rest of the season after he sustained an ankle injury during last night’s incredible comeback over Borussia Dortmund.

The Germany international left the stadium on crutches and is due to undergo a scan to determine the extent of his injury but Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp has been advised that it could be a bad one.

Can twisted the ankle late on during the game and there are fears he may have suffered ligament damage.

He was already ruled out of Sunday’s game at Bournemouth due to suspension but he’s now a major doubt for next Wednesday’s Merseyside derby with Everton.
