Liverpool FC Transfer News: Luan Vieira – LATEST

Liverpool Football Club continue to be linked with Gremio ace Luan Vieira.

Reports last week claimed that a £26million transfer bid tabled by the Reds on May 6th was accepted after the 24-year-old forward rejected a new contract offer.

Luan has entered the final year of his existing deal and Gremio have admitted that they may need to sell players in the summer to balance the books. They certainly can’t risk losing out financially by allowing him to run his contract down.

While reports in Brazil suggest Gremio are willing to do business, it has been suggested that they want to retain him for their Copa Libertadores campaign which, if they reached the final, would mean he couldn’t make the switch to Anfield until January 2018 which may not interest Liverpool.

However, all of the above is old news and it is the latest developments that will be of interest to Liverpool supporters.
