Liverpool FC Transfer News: Kylian Mbappé – LATEST

Kylian Mbappe

Reports originating from Spain claim that Liverpool have had a second transfer bid for Kylian Mbappé rejected by Monaco.

It was reported last month that Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp had tabled a £64million bid for the 18-year-old striker which was subsequently rejected. Reports over the last 24 hours now claim that Klopp has returned with a fresh offer of £88million which has also been rebuffed.

KOPTALK sources insist that Monaco have been approached by Liverpool since the end of the season to check on the player’s availability but they are not convinced that any formal bids have been submitted for him. However, they are adamant that Liverpool are prepared to challenge Arsenal for the player should the player indicate he would be willing to consider a move to the Premier League.

Real Madrid have been favourites to land Mbappé and the suggestions are that he would only consider a move there should he leave Monaco. If the Spanish giants fail to broker a deal and Arsenal then go on to have a bid accepted, Liverpool insiders claim that the Reds would step up to the table with a formal offer.

Klopp has prioritised other areas of the team but wouldn’t pass on a chance to sign Mbappé. Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette (26) is another striker who is of interest to the Liverpool manager. Mbappé could cost in excess of £110million while Lacazette could cost around £60million.
