Liverpool Football Club have ended their interest in Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
Reports in Spain last month claimed that the Reds had tabled an informal bid of £42million for the 24-year-old. A couple of weeks later it was claimed that Liverpool officials had then gone on to meet with his representative Gelu Rodriguez in London.

However, it would appear that Liverpool have now walked away from the idea of signing the striker, possibly because of the £78.6m valuation that has been slapped on him following a formal approach from Manchester United this week.
Despite cooling on Morata, it is claimed that Liverpool remain in talks with the Spanish giants regarding other potential transfer business. An update on what we believe is happening on that front will be published on our VIP members’ news section this morning.
