Leipzig preparing for Naby Keïta exit

RB Leipzig are preparing for the exit of Naby Keïta by looking at possible replacements.

Despite insisting that the player is not for sale at any price, the German outfit has drawn up a list of potential targets to replace the 22-year-old should they opt to do business with Liverpool after all.

However, there is a suggestion that Leipzig want to bring in someone to play alongside Keïta for the forthcoming season before his inevitable exit next year but with serious money being offered by Liverpool, we would expect them to crack before the current transfer window closes, especially as the player has made it clear that he wants to link up with Jürgen Klopp at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Leipzig managing director Oliver Mintzlaff has reiterated his stance that Keïta will be staying at the club.

Speaking after a friendly last night, he told the inquisitive media: “RB Leipzig is looking forward to the next season together with Naby Keïta.”
