Jürgen Klopp is hoping that the Anfield faithful will turn up the volume for the visit of Arsenal this evening.
The Liverpool manager has taken to the match-date programme to thank fans for their away support recently and he’s hoping he will see and hear more of the same at home.
In his programme notes, Klopp said: “Arsenal are a team I have experience of facing, having come up against them in the Champions League for Dortmund.
“Arsene is a manager who is respected throughout the world for what he has achieved and continues to achieve at Arsenal. He has a very talented team, with world-class players and there is no doubt they are one of the top clubs in this country.
“For us, tonight is a great challenge but one we look forward to. It is special games like this one that we should all enjoy and take everything we can from the experience. Being under the lights at Anfield will hopefully make the game and the atmosphere even more special.
“Finally, to our supporters: you have been fantastic in your backing of the players in our away games and we know you will be behind them again this evening, with us back at home. Thank you for your continued and loyal support of the team. We hope to make you proud this evening.”
