A scan has determined that Jordan Henderson sustained isolated damage to his lateral collateral ligament during last night’s Europa League tie against Borussia Dortmund.
The Liverpool skipper had to be hauled off during the first half after picking up the injury with fears that he could be out for up to 3 months.
However, as the injury isn’t as bad as initially thought, he may return sooner with the club’s medical staff predicting his comeback could be made 6 to 8 weeks from now, depending of course at to how his recovery programme goes.
Fortunately, surgery isn’t necessary.
