Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge will definitely not be involved against Everton when the two sides meet in Saturday’s Merseyside derby.
Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has ruled them both out of the match due to their injury problems.
Commenting on Henderson’s status, Klopp said: “Unfortunately he’s had a little setback. He’s not in team training until now. I can’t say how long.”
Asked if Sturridge would be available for selection and he added: “He has no chance.”
Midfielder Adam Lallana returned from international duty with an injury so he will also not be involved but Brazilian duo Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho returned without any problems.
“We will bring all that we have. Apart from Adam Lallana, nobody has come back with any issues,” said Klopp.
“Coutinho and Firmino are okay. How fresh? We will see on Saturday. The club did everything to bring them back as soon as possible.”
