Liverpool new boy Fabinho says he’s ready to make his competitive debut for the Reds after settling into the club and the city.

The 24-year-old £40million summer signing is yet to make an impact at Anfield and didn’t even make the last three match-day squads, but the chatter coming out of Melwood is that the boss is ready to unleash him and it would appear that the Brazilian is raring to go.

But first an international for Brazil against the United States on Saturday where he has been tipped to be deployed as a right-back.

Commenting on his transfer from Monaco to Liverpool, Fabinho said: “My start has been good, good adaptation.

“The pre-season was very good, we had nine friendlies and I played nine .

“It was good to play against English teams to see what the rhythm, the intensity and the physique are like.

“The way the team played I got it right, the more experienced players helped me, the technical team as well.

“Me and my wife are liking the city, we already have a home. Roberto Firmino is being a great guy, his family has given a good support to me and Alisson.

“It’s been fine [settling in]. Having Brazilians in the team helps. Now it’s really [time] to make the debut.

“I’m fine, training well and prepared.”
