Dominic Solanke would be “a very good addition”

Dominic Solanke would be “a very good addition” to Steven Gerrard’s Rangers’ squad according to Liverpool loanee Ovie Ejaria (above).

The 21-year-old striker could leave Anfield during the January transfer window on loan if an appropriate proposal is received from a club that can offer Solanke regular first team football that would aid his development.

Solanke has been linked with a possible move north of the border to Rangers but Anfield sources claim no discussions have taken place and that Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp is in no rush to move the player out and that such an idea is low on his list of priorities.

Rangers midfielder Ejaria has welcomed the idea of Solanke making the switch to Ibrox. The 21-year-old midfielder signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool in June and immediately joined Rangers on a season-long loan where he’s featured regularly and has caught the eye of observers. He believes Solanke would be a great addition to the Rangers squad.

Ejaria said: “Rangers are a very good club and I’ve enjoyed my time here so far and if I was to speak to Dom about it, I would only have good things to say about Rangers.

“Dom is a very good player. I’ve known him for a very long time. He’s another goalscorer. He scores a lot of goals, so if he was to come to Rangers in January, it would be a very good addition to the squad.”

Klopp insists that Solanke remains in his long terms plans despite his limited game time at Anfield.
