Liverpool striker Divock Origi has been ruled out for the rest of the season after a scan confirmed that he sustained ligament damage during the 4-0 win over Everton on Wednesday.
It is not known for how long he will be out of action until he has a second scan today but he will definitely miss the rest of the campaign.
Everton’s Ramiro Funes Mori yesterday issued an apology for the challenge and claimed he didn’t mean to harm the 21-year-old.
Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp has Daniel Sturridge to call upon while Christian Benteke, who has been out with a knee injury, is close to a return.
