Daniel Sturridge out and not for sale

Daniel Sturridge has been ruled out of Sunday’s Premier League fixture at Bournemouth.

The Liverpool striker has missed games against Sunderland and Leeds United due to a calf injury and will definitely not be involved this weekend.

Speaking at today’s pre-match press conference, Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp confirmed that the 27-year-old wouldn’t make the squad. He also responded to questions about the player’s future at the club.

“The funny thing is you create stories that aren’t stories, then you ask me about the stories that aren’t stories,” said the manager.

“There is absolutely no idea to sell anybody from the first team squad. It wouldn’t make sense.

“Unfortunately, Daniel is not in training. That’s what I’m most concerned about, more than transfer rumours.I’m prepared for January. What you ask me will be funny I’m sure.
