Barcelona officials arrive in England for Coutinho talks

Barcelona officials have arrived in England to try and reach an agreement with Liverpool for Philippe Coutinho, claim media reports originating from Spain.

It is claimed that representatives of the Nou Camp outfit are holding talks with the Reds despite denials from Anfield that the Brazilian will be allowed to leave.

Meanwhile, it has been suggested that Coutinho may soon issue a statement to try and apply pressure on Liverpool to allow him to make the switch to Barcelona.

A source close to the player has been quoted as saying: “Coutinho is willing to say that Liverpool is making his life miserable and that he wants to leave.

“He has been very patient but at the end of the day it is his option as a player to leave the club and he wants to do exactly that.”

Coutinho has already had a transfer request rejected by the club. He has also informed the Reds that he doesn’t want to play for them again. Despite this, boss Jürgen Klopp believes the player can be welcomed back into his set-up once the window slams shut.
