The Catalan giants are pushing ahead with their attempts to sign the Brazilian although Liverpool insist that he’s not for sale. Anfield insiders however claim that the player was told he could leave next year for Barcelona if he dropped the idea of making the switch during the last transfer window and subject to Barca meetings Liverpool’s demands.
It was reported today that Kia Joorabchian held talks in London on Monday with representatives of both clubs in the hope of reaching an agreement with the transfer fee and the way the deal would be structured. Liverpool are said to want £135m but Barcelona’s current offer is said to total £97.7m, with only £71m to be paid upfront the rest being “achievable” add-ons.
Liverpool have not responded to the ongoing speculation surrounding their player.
