Jürgen Klopp turns to Andreas Kornmayer

Jürgen Klopp wants Bayern Munich’s fitness coach, Andreas Kornmayer, to be his head of fitness and conditioning next season after Rylands Morgan was released a couple of weeks ago.

Former boss Brendan Rodgers appointed Morgan and there was no sign of a new contract for him with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season. He was allowed to leave recently for “a new challenge”. Andy O’Boyle, the Liverpool Under-21s fitness coach, has been providing cover since Morgan left after his 4 year spell with the Reds.

Kornmayer has indicated that he would like to work with Klopp who has seen an opportunity to swoop at Bayern with major changes set to take place there in the summer.
