Don't call people's comments stupid and then take what Hicks says as gospel. Hicks comments just back up whatv was known already nothing to do with gospel, he had already lost the club so there was no real gain in telling us that the monster Benitez had lost the dressing room, Purslow had already spoken to the senior players who all wanted this tyrant gone, thats along with a disgraceful campagn where he took the club backwards was the reason he was sacked. And so he did indeed get sacked. What is your point? I agree that Benitez is largely to blame for where we finished last season, but to suggest he is at fault for where are now... Well, frankly you're behaving like a spurned lover. Benitez most certainly did not buy and then continue to pick Poulsen week in and week out, despite his obvious failings. He did not fail to stand on the touchline and fail to give advice or encouragement to a group of inexperienced players vs Northampton. Benitez not once in 6 seasons failed to win more than once in 8 consecutive EPL games. That is why some of the fans (not including me, btw) want him back; for all his failings Benitez made us a winning team, and a force in Europe. Hodgson has us playing such tripe we can't even hope to draw at home against ANY OPPOSITION IN THE PREMIERSHIP, and talks such sh*t in his post-match conferences that I want to run up and slap him in the face for being so retarded. But you continue to spout your bullsh*t about it all being the fault of Benitez, when Hodgson changed 1/3rd of the squad (our 25 man squad does no comprise that many names), changed the tactics, and changed the formation. Sorry, mate. You fail.

I honestly believe Rafa had run his course here, but to blame him for the way this season has gone is bonkers. Anyone who believes a squad containing three world class players, (Reina, Gerrard, Torres), along with a dozen other proven international players, is a bad legacy, is not thinking rationally. It was time for Rafa to go but to say it's his fault for this year is just stupid. Rafa has too much to do with Inter to be sabotaging us. The only way Rafa is still hurting us is through Lucas, but he isn't the one selecting him to play. Seriously I don't beleive this bloke is Brazillian. His dad must be Alaskan or something because he seriously can't play. I reckon he would struggle in the A League and that's saying something!

look guys rafa screwed up big time last season but this season is roys fault.he picks the tactics and where to play HIS players and lets face it he looks clueless about what to do. we could all pick a starting 11 from our squad which on paper should be a match for anyone........ So lets get it right it was Roys fault Reina threw the ball in the net against Arsenal, because the players sh*t themselves against City, were beaten before they went onto the pitch against United with Torres sulking and not marking up at corners and because Glen Johnson gave a way a ridiclous penalty against Blackpool then played them all onside for the second goal. lets get it right it's Roys fault Torres has sulked in every game this season to the point it's like playing with 10 men and your captain only plays when we fall a goal behind. This is all Benitez doing the mess we are seeing now, we finished seventh last season and lost about 19 games this is just a carry on from last season, Roy has'nt helped himself at times but to hold him responsible for this mess is just plain ridiculous.
