no wonder he wants to lower our expectations!
he's in a win win situation, if results are good he stays if results are bad he gets lots of money , mind you nothing too unusual about that for a manager, if he does go he will up the job centre for a while i imagine or most probably go to europe where he is a respected manager

Well he's on a 3-year deal but if he gets sacked within 28 days after a change in ownership, we'll only have to pay him only a year's salary.

I would give him a chance with this new owner regime like I stressed before. You never know, things could turn out to be good. Its hard to tell but I dont want to sack him just yet.

The problem is snakeye Roy Hodgson is not good enough and it's why he has been sh*t his entire career. He doesn't deserve more time. He's turned us, in his short reign, into a negative, ineffective, boring team that lacks confidence, passion and belief. The problem in our team stems from a lack of leadership. The fact he couldn't get off his wrinkly arse to go talk to the team before extra time V's Northampton sums up his lack of desire to manage our club. He's not good enough and should be gone before the new owners come in!

I might agree. we need leadership - Gerrard has been doeing it on the pitch for about 11 years now and I think he's fed up playing that role while the like of Houllier and Benetiz took the plaudits for the good times. Roy talks a lot and doesn't seem to have the pick me up force of character that is needed at the moment. He's too bloody negative- i AD NO INKLING WE'D BE PLAYING SHUC S H I T E

I would never normally advocate removing a manager so early into his reign but for me Roy is the wrong man for the job.

One thing missing at Liverpool right now, and I never thought I would say this in 35 years of following the club, is PRIDE. Theres too many players who dont understand what it is to wear that shirt. Carra, Stevie G, yes, Reina maybe, Kuyt, I thought so but his ramblings about moving put me off. But that pride has to be instilled by the manager and Roy just doesnt seem to have it.

When the sale goes through, one thing needs fixing immediately and thats getting the pride and desire back in the club, and for me, having outsiders owning the club for the last few years, and with more outsiders coming in, we need someone who is liverpool through and through to give that link to the past for the next year or so.
Maybe Dalglish, hell, maybe even Keegan, whatever his managerial failings he has that passion. We dont need a tactical genius for now, we (should) have the players with the ability to produce results, but we do need someone who will instill a bit of passion in the players. For one fleeting moment I even imagined Paulo Di Canio, or Craig Bellamy as caretaker manager (maybe we could do with a player like that right now)

Sorry Roy, but for me, youre just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Hearing there was a get out clause was one of the best bits of news Ive read this week.
