Liverpool Football Club have this evening confirmed they have agreed a deal in principle for the transfer of Danny Wilson.

Wilson, 18, established himself in the centre of defence at Rangers last season and landed the Scottish Football Association Young Player of the Year trophy after making 24 appearances for the Ibrox side.

just 2M pounds for a promising youngster, good news!

this is a great signing - cover for the entire left side of the defence or even first choice if he settles in well enough ..... looked good for rangers i thought last season

Dont think he was very impressive last season. Not going to complain if its only 2M. But 5m is pretty steep. Fingers crossed he proves me wrong. But im not excited by this signing. But J.Cole, thats lovely.

I actually havent seen danny play at all but based on most peoples assumptions here, it seems he is good enough to make it here at liverpool. Since he can also play at LB this is great replacement for Insua i hope. We need another LB. Nice swift signings, lets hope it can continue.

That John Fleck kid is quite good too. if we are after for Britain's best, we should go for Connor Wickham from Ipswich. but he is going to cost us 5-8 million for a 17 or 18 year old.
