Jürgen Klopp has stuck the boot into Prime Minister Boris Johnson, former U.S. President Donald Trump and former UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage.

He has a point, right? What do you guys think?

However, do you like it when a current manager or player (a hero of yours, maybe?) speaks out about political issues?

Does it make them seem more human, like ordinary fans, or do you think it should be avoided and that they should stick to football?

I think they should be allowed to say what they want (within reason!) especially when it's not on club time, at a press conference for example. They're human too and they're allowed opinions. We don't own them.

However, there are football personalities that I have always liked (Lineker, Collymore, Le Tissier for example) but when they start ranting and patronising on Twitter, I find it quite depressing. I know it's their own space and they have every right to say what they want. My question is aimed more about personalities currently in the game like the boss.

For the record, I don't have a problem with anything the boss said. I think many Liverpool fans, especially in the city, will really welcome his words today

Funny and as everyone Klopp does have the right of his opinion. Some will say he needs to stick to football...but he doesn't care, and he is right

Listened to this good interview. Klopp talks a lot of sense.

Klopp is spot on and it makes me like him even more. All three are complete clowns... deserve all the vitriol they get.

He gets paid as Manager of Liverpool Football Club and should keep his gob shut.

What does "right wing leaders" even mean anyway?

The nazi left wing commies are currently trying to take everybody's freedoms away...just ask Australia and New Zealand!

No problem with this at all, as long as he isn't giving us political propaganda in the middle of press conferences I don't mind. It shows that he is a well rounded individual who cares about the Country and is showing he feels a part of it.

On the actual content though I see it a different way. The reason why Trump, Johnson (who barely constitutes as "right wing") and other right leaning parties have risen is because the other side clearly haven't been doing their jobs properly. They stopped listening to the electorate for decades and so people start looking for other answers. I don't personally like Nigel Farage's rhetoric but unfortunately he says things a lot of people want to hear on subjects a lot of other parties brush under the carpet and so that gives him more power not less. Politicians of all colours have to talk about the things that are on people's minds otherwise they will turn to the extremes.

He has a right to a political opinion as do we all. But I don’t care what his political opinion is on anything, any more than I care what my milkman thinks about politics
