The season is too far gone to declare it null & void. The only way the season would get wiped is if this virus mortality rate gets far, far worse. As it stands the virus is only affecting the very old and infirm.

We are only talking a matter of 2 weeks when the winner of The PL "should" be confirmed. The complicated matter of relegation and European places will be the biggest issues.

The sensible course of action by The Government. PL/Football Leagues and FA would be to play games behind closed doors, starting this weekend. There's too many current issues of those involved in the game having to self quarantine for the 14 day period, as is the case for the Arsenal Staff and players who were around the Nott'm Forest Owner hence why tonight's City v Arsenal game was cancelled.

To allow mass gatherings going forward will only complicate matters with further games being postponed until we get to a point where the logistics of rearranging games become impossible.

So now Roma will not travel for their European game as their plane has been denied permission to land in Spain .....

This schitz real. I can see tonight's game just being a formality rather than a result. I obviously hope not.

Italy handled the coronavirus outbreak badly.

Italy's high death rate is due to the fact that the country has the world's oldest population after Japan. The demographic affected is way bigger than it would be in lots of other places. Most of those who have died are elderly with previous health issues.

Italians generally enjoy the outdoors and have a tactile culture, interpersonal physical space in Italy is a lot shorter than it is in [the UK or Ireland].

Their habit is to kiss each other when you say hello. There is higher physical contact anyway around the Mediterranean between people and people are outdoors more at this time of year than they are in other parts of Europe, where it's still a bit colder.

Many people did not take self-isolation measures very seriously when schools were first closed in northern regions of Italy a few weeks ago. A lot of the Italian people just took their kids and went off on holiday to their holiday homes in the mountains and at the seaside in other regions of Italy, there was no real self quarantine.

I think the CL and EL will soon be scrapped for the season.

Can't see teams travelling across Europe as they have done up to now, with the virus closing etire countries down.

And sadly I can't see the PL coming to and end either.

The season will be scrapped as a whole and declared null and void.

Guess we'll go into the next season just as we went into the current one. No relagations and no teams promoted.

If the virus will be under control in August is another question - will the upcoming season even be started?

Really sad that we have come so far and still won't become crowned champions! That's what I'm afraid of the most now!
