They are still allowing the rest of the world through Heathrow as usual.

Got to keep immigration going at all costs.

Well it won’t if it is contained. Keep up Stan.

There's also the point that the fixture can be played behind closed doors.

Exactly. Too many Express readers believing the scaremongering.

If we have mathematically won the read and the FA start thinking of cancelling the remaining part of the PL season, then they could perhaps declare us winners.

But how about the relegation battle and the Europa spots?

It could go either way:

1. Just cancel the whole season and declare it void. Wouldn't that just be a typical Liverpool outcome?

2. End the season as it stands. No more games played.

3. Postpone the season and resume it at a later date when that virus is contained and we have found an antidote (could take up to a year according to experts, I read the other week).

All those options are unnecessary. The containment measure is to prevent large crowds from gathering. It's not the games themselves that are causing issues. So more sensible options would be to play the games without crowds with all games to be shown free to air so that fans don't have to gather in pubs. This would keep all parties happy, no?

Yes that's a thought.

But some clubs would perhaps rather have the matchday revenue instead of playing in front of empty stands?

But maybe it would be better for all teams if they at least had some TV revenues coming in than having nothing?

Maybe the PL should take this up with Sky and get a better deal from them for broadcasting all remaining games for the rest of the season?

There isn't time n the calendar to lay so many rescheduled games... and any club put forward an argument about lost revenues at a time of an international health crisis they would have to face a the flak and embarrassment they'd bring upon themselves.

Indeed.

Hence my idea if getting a better deal from Sky/BT/whoever to broadcast all remaining games and play them infront of empty stands.

If it's contained there is no problem. Thanks for pointing that out I had not realised that. However it's worthwhile noting our government (or any government) has no control over events we just have to hope all is ok. Personally I think it will be but the point of this thread is what if not? You seem to struggle with that nuance
