Spurs are definitely stronger. They have had a good window. Sessegnon could be a very good signing. He has a lot of talent and I would not be judging him too much on his last 2 seasons at a team battling relegation in Fulham. They were shocking. He is also not long turned 19. He is a kid.

City look the same as last season. Rodri looks the part. The sane injury could be a big loss though.

I think City kind of moved sideways, too bad about Sane. David Luiz to the Arse kind of makes sense strangely enough and I think Utd are stronger as are Spurs.

city / they are probably the same

chelsea / massively weaker and will finish bottom of the mini league

spurs / much better and think they will safely finish 2nd

utd / much better defensively but could be wanting in front of goal. i hear most utd fans are raving about their new youngster wilson. they think his great

arsenal / massively improved and im dead jealous they got the LB from celtic. think pepe will be a good signing but cant see him get anywhere close to the numbers he did last season

Do not know half the players bought and sold but from the little i know then Spurs scare me. Arsenal will score alot. How their defence will cope i am not so sure. Chelsea is weaker but Frank has something as manager. United sadly better team but they lack many things. City at least as strong.

Exactly, we improved by 20 pts after we spent 200m on 3-4 players. We need to improve by probably 3-4 points to win the title and that would have been 1 top player, 2 would have been a dream.

Coming back to your post, City improved their weak spots, ie, cover for Fernandinho. Yes they have lost Kompany but he missed half of their games and they bought a left back to make sure Laporte plays as CB and also bought a right back as Pep was not very happy with Walker. If Pep thought Kompany was vital, he would have kept him, it's not like City needed to sell, he went on a free.

For the rest it's not that important as our target should be to win the league, ie beating City. However, Spurs has definitely improved and so has United, Lukaku leaving is not a big problem as Ole doesn't seem to fancy him. Their defence is much better. Arsenal could probably have the best attack of the league though their defence is questionable. As I said, we shouldn't even be looking the other teams, our focus should be City and relative to them we went backwards.

I'm really not sure how we've gone backwards from City? They lost their captain and a massive influence for all their title winning years. They got unproven cover for Fernandinho who is aging and won't play much or at CB. Then they basically swapped back up RB. Apart from that what did they do?

We have kept all our best players for the first time in a long time. We didn't buy anyone but we have good back up coming back from injury. I don't buy this 'they'll be like new players' rubbish that gets spouted but they are options we didn't have last year so in that respect are stronger.

So for me we haven't gone backwards from City at all. I'd say it's about parity with last year which as we know is a 1 point difference. Does that mean we'll beat them? No but it also doesn't mean we won't.

Kompany was a massive influence on the bench and in training?

There's rumours that Lovren still maybe sold, if this happens it solidifies the fact FSG are fluffing out their nestegg...another 100+k a week player off the books with no replacement. They'll have saved approx' 20m in salaries and bonuses this window if Lovren departs added to the departures of Sturridge, Moreno and Mignolet...then fluffed out that little bit more with the kids on loan.

If their captain who missed more than half of their games was a massive loss, I am sure Pep would have made sure to keep him.

It’s not just his influence when playing but being there in general. Players like him will have a massive influence around the place as would Gerrard with us whether playing or not.

And City we’re looking at Maguire so obviously thought there was a need to replace. But even they’re not stupid or desperate enough to get mugged.
