Is it maybe possible that the new owners might want their own manager? Who knows maybe it was all part of the agreements between them. Still sad though, i was really looking forward to see he type of players he would sign, i know he has a great eye for talent. Names like David Villa, Aguero and Silva comes to mind.

BENITEZ 'HEARD OF DEPARTURE FROM FRIEND'

Sky Sports News understands Rafa Benitez was not informed Newcastle were going to put out a statement saying that he was leaving the club - until he heard about it from a friend.

A lack of clarity with regards to how the club progressed, we believe, is the reason the two sides could not agree a way forward in contract negotiations.

However, reports of Benitez demanding £100m be made available for new players are not true - and he was fully aware of what funds were available. Benítez also wanted to see investment in the club's training ground and academy.

Shocking if true!

Poor Rafa. He's had to go through this twice, and both sets of fans wanted him to stay.

Does make you wonder if the new prospective owners have said don't give him a new deal as they want their own man?

I have heard rumour that Ashley wouldn't pay for permanent move of Rondon due to his age, Ashley wants young with potential sell on.. This non purchase is regarded as the issue that Rafa couldn't tolerate as he wasn't being backed..

The Sheik who wants to buy the Toon, believes he's being messed around by Ashley, so has made glances at Leeds Utd, this maybe to force Ashley to get pen to paper and sell.

The Sheik it is believed is in for the long haul investment, he would prefer Toon, it's believed his investment assuming a sale happens will be between the likes of Wolves and City... Ironically the City FFP issues may impact the Sheiks time period of initial investment, as he may not be able to match City's initial spending to catapult Toon up the league as quick as he would like...

Should nil action against City happen, then assume the money from Toon to flow in the transfer window's ahead..

Strange place for Rafa to go, they are paying him a fortune but he cannot be short of money.
