Absolutely.
As long as we finish strong and we recruit well in the summer, and improve next season, I am happy.

For me it was the game at The Etihaad our only defeat of the PL Season.
Up to that point we had been invincible and Klopp sent them out to draw with negative tactics. Prior to the 2 v 1 defeat we'd won 9 games on the bounce and headed to Manchester on the crest of a wave having just beaten Arsenal 5 v 1, Newcastle 4 v 0, Wolves 2 v 0 and Utd 3 v 1. Our form was great in the PL and it was an opportunity to effectively
win a 6 pointer over our nearest rival.

That defeat to City ushered in negativity and we followed on with 2 nervous by 1 goal win displays over Brighton and then Palace, followed by 3 draws in quick concession against Leicester, West Ham and @ManUtd.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing I know but it grates knowing that we didn't really try at The Etihaad and had we, we may not be in the situation we are currently in.

Getting anything at City was very improbable, they have a much better team and squad than us and they were at home, so I don't think anything went wrong there. I think it went wrong in the home draw against Leicester. To beat City to the title anybody needs to be perfect and hope City makes a few mistakes. They did have some slip ups and we were almost perfect, but not completely perfect. We probably won all the points we should have except the home game against Leicester. You could add West Ham, Everton and United away draws but they were not so bad as those teams are very good at home. Now we can only hope for another slip up from City.

Leicester was the game. Iirc that was after Rafa beat City and we could of gone 7 points clear but we drew and the bad form continued into other draws with westham, Everton, Utd.

Having said that, we have played an excellent league season with only one loss and in any other era, 88 points would be enough to lift a title never mind 97 which is still possible. It is unfortunate that when we play our best season ever in terms of stats, someone is just one step further ahead. Who knows, may be the gods will have one more look at us and crack a smile and when that happens we better take that chance or die trying.

A very well balanced way of looking at this. Well done!

Lost one game all season. Our blip if you can call it that is a draw against Leicester and West ham.

Couldn't be more proud of the team.

This. If we don't win the league, it's because City are just really good. We are on course to have the highest points tally ever in the league, other than City's last year and this. That's more than Mourinho's 04-05 Chelsea that were the record holders until last year. We only lost 1 game, and scored buckets of goals. If we hold this level, we will win a title. It's inevitable.

It's not over yet, and one way or the other it's been a great season, and it's been a few years since I've enjoyed one as much. I haven't given up hope yet either...in fact I can't....my trusty tea leaves would never forgive me if'n I did, and I'll be needing their perspicacious sagaciousness again in a few weeks, when the damned close season winds down to its torturous end.

I don't agree at all. Next Season is a clean slate. Regardless of what happens this term.

Maybe. However, I feel Pep's City will dominate just as what he did at Barca, I think only Mourinho's Real beat him to the title and only once. Some good news though, it will also mean Manure won't win the league.

I don't see Pep staying that long, I think he will move on in a few years, seems to be his way, maybe try his luck in Italy, Serie A seems to be resurgent, maybe goto Juve.

I thought pep looked nervous in that horse shiit interview about them helping us perform. Pressure is all on them.

It's not over by a long shot
